The Lacaune Mountains - Tarn

DAY 1: Pont du Gard - Tarn - Lacaune

Departure from Valence

Plunge into the heart of Roman times with a visit to the Museum, the Cinema and experience a tour to the top of the aqueduct, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Lunch at the restaurant, then departure for Lacaune.

Your itinerary takes you through the mountain landscapes of the Monts de Lacaune before settling in at the Relais de Fusiès. A welcome aperitif will be served before dinner in the hotel restaurant.

DAY 2: Gijou Valley and Protestantism Museum

After a buffet breakfast, your guide will take you on a tour of Viane (visit to the Temple), the Vallée du Gijou (Vallée des Justes) and Vabre (rescue of the Jews), followed by a visit to the Musée du Protestantisme, the only one of its kind in France, with a dual ambition that contributes to its originality. An exceptional journey through five centuries of Protestant history and life.

After lunch, visit the Musée du Textile in Labastide-Rouairoux, a privileged witness to a prestigious industrial past. You'll follow in the footsteps of the great couturiers - Chanel, Courrèges, Dior - who made their mark here.

On the way back, visit Lac de la Raviège, take in the village and visit the Temple de Lacaune.

DAY 3: Mazamet and the Montagne Noire

After a buffet breakfast, you'll head for the Montagne Noire. You'll then visit the Protestant architecture of Mazamet, a town that embraced the ideas of the Reformation.

Continue on to Hautpoul, a Cathar refuge and Protestant stronghold. For thrill-seekers, you can cross the Himalayan footbridge 70 meters above the Arnette.

Lunch and return to Valence
